Autumn is a time to get organised. It’s the start of the new school year, and whether you have children or not, there’s a ‘back to school’ vibe in the air that makes people want to set new goals and get things done before Christmas comes into view.
If you’re a small or medium-sized business owner, this may be the ideal time to look into adding employee benefits to the rewards that you give your staff.
Or if you already offer employee rewards, now might be a good time to assess whether you offer the right ones for your employees. Perhaps it’s time to add new ones, or exchange some that you offer for others, as the needs of your team changes?
We offer a full range of Employee Benefits to businesses. Take a look at the benefits that we offer, or get in touch to discuss benefits for your staff in more detail.

Why offer employee benefits?
Did you know that employee benefits can actually save your business money? That’s right – for every £1 you spend on employee benefits, your company can make £3 in savings on National insurance. Read more about the savings that employee benefits offer your business here.
And the more benefits staff take up, the greater the savings can be to the business. Employees tend to use four or more benefits, our research shows, so it’s good to offer a range for them to choose from.
If you don’t already offer any benefits to your staff, arrange a call with us and we can take you through what we offer your business and how it can help both your staff and your bottom line.
Which benefits should you choose?
Childcare and nursery benefits are understandably very popular with parents of young children. Employees can save as much as £4,200 a year when using these benefits. This represents a great helping hand at a stage of life when finances can be squeezed.
Risk benefits are particularly popular with employees because they can protect staff members from nasty financial shocks and give them extra help at times of medical crisis.
Check our blog posts about the benefits that appeal to different employees the most at varying stages of their lives:

- My benefits: A single householder nearing retirement

Wellbeing benefits for staff
One of our newer programmes is our wellbeing package. It offers five videos on different areas of wellbeing that will help you staff weather the stresses of life. At the same time, it gives them the reassurance that their employer cares about their personal well being, not just about their productivity as an employee. (Ironically, both things are linked.)
Our well being videos cover these key areas:
- Sleep
- Nutrition
- Emotional agility
- Finances
- Mental Health Awareness

Time for a ‘benefits audit’?
It’s useful to pay attention to how much your employees are using certain benefits. When you work with Enjoy Benefits, ongoing administration is run through a hub. Employees manage their own benefits. And employers can see which benefits are proving popular with staff, and which ones have most and least take-up.
But, if any benefits are under-used, don’t jump to the conclusion that they’re not working for you and your employees.
It may be that your team is unaware of that benefit, or don’t yet understand fully the value that it can offer. Now may be a good time to communicate to your staff about the most under-used benefits, before you make any changes. This allows you to see if there’s any change in take-up, with time to make changes for the start of the new year, or the new financial year.
Take a look at our blog post on how to communicate effectively to your team about the opportunities and savings that employee benefits offer. Click here.
